Synopsis

Yes, I know this is a Christmas movie, but I only discovered it recently. Since it stars Kanna Hashimoto and is based on a manga, I decided to watch it instead of waiting half a year. The story revolves around Black Santa recruiting minions, and because this is about punishing bad kids, there are some darker elements. The concept seems cool, but the movie fails to deliver. However, Kanna was born to play over-the-top characters, nailing all the anime mannerisms to perfection. It's like watching a live-action cartoon!

Adapted from manga under same name, Black Night Parade is pretty creative and crazy.
Yoshizawa Ryo, Hashimoto Kanna and Nakagawa Taishi demonstrated their all in acting in the movie. With some twists and touching moment in the movie, it may be a nice popcorn movie to kill time if you like the cast or this kind of story.

Fukuda's latest is an odd film. He's known to tackle strange projects, often films with a lot of comedy, and Black Night Parade falls into this category pretty well. It's just that I don't really know if this was aimed at younger kids or not. Some parts are pretty dark, others are straight-up childish. I would've liked a clearer angle.
Hino has been looking for a job ever since he graduated from school. No serious employer wants to hire him, so he's working in a small convenience store. Even his colleagues take advantage of him until one day a strange figure in a Santa suit comes to visit him and offers him a unique job.

reuninya kagura sama okita versi live action wkwkw tipikal comedy live action jepang yang chaotic, cringe, tapi lucuk. style tsukkomi teriak2nya yoshizawa ryo itu pas banget dan kayanya bakalan lebih epic kalo misalnya formatnya anime (?) soalnya bisa lebih heboh lagi harusnya. rolenya udah pada sikasik, komuknya ada, coolnya ada, yg annoying juga annoying parah hhhhhhhhhh
seperti biasa animasinya busuuuuuuuk banget wkwkw another consideration to make this into anime instead of this lol si headless itu aja udah aneh, ketambahan karung bergigi, sama tikus2nya itu jelek banget kaya mainan murah wkwkw
anyway, akhir2nya selain perusahaan gelap nan ilegal juga malah jadi mission impossible ala2 agent gitu. klo jadi anime fix ratingnya bisa lebih tinggi. enjoyable but not enough. thank you for the eyecandy cast tho. -
